Senior Software Engineer - Python & React / AI

Location: NYC (Hybrid, 3+ days per week in-office)

Compensation: $205K - $225K USD + Equity + Benefits + Open to relocation

Requirements

• Python, React, PostgreSQL, and AWS, though candidates with experience in comparable technologies are encouraged to apply.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience building, operating, and maintaining production systems at scale.
• Product-oriented and strong collaboration skills. You care about the impact of your work on users and the business, not just the code.
• Computer Science Degree or equivalent experience.

Bonus Skills

• Experience migrating large systems is highly valued.
• Experience with LLMs, AI-powered products, or agent-based systems in any capacity is highly valued.
• Experience with data integrations and/or collaborating closely with customers and business stakeholders is highly valued.
• Proven system design / architecture chops * Strong people leadership (within team + cross-functional).

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable systems that support large volumes/millions of consumers and business partners.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and product roadmap planning, helping shape key initiatives.
• Drive engineering excellence through strong technical execution, best practices, and high-quality code.
• Mentor and support junior engineers, helping elevate the team's overall capabilities.
• Partner cross-functionally with Product, Design, and Operations to deliver impactful solutions.
• Help define and refine engineering processes and standards in collaboration with other senior leaders.
