$180,000 – $230,000 base + equity

ABOUT THE ROLE

Our client is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to lead and own large parts of the product end-to-end, from ideation through to implementation. The role is balanced across frontend (React/TypeScript) and backend (Python), with meaningful ownership across the stack. You will build and iterate on AI-powered creator tools alongside AI PMs and ML engineers, lead frontend development with an eye for delightful UI/UX, and architect systems that hold up as the platform scales.

AI is not a productivity hack at this company. It is a fundamental shift in how the engineering team scopes, builds, and ships. Every engineer is expected to work this way and raise the bar over time. WHAT YOU'LL OWN

• Build and iterate on AI-powered creator tools working alongside AI PMs and ML engineers
• Build products operating at millions of page views per day and scale them toward billions
• Lead frontend development with strong attention to UI/UX quality
• Design and build backend systems and understand how all moving pieces interact
• Use AI tools as your default starting point across scoping, planning, spec-writing, code generation, debugging, and code review
• Develop a concrete point of view on what AI can and cannot do in product

REQUIREMENTS

Must-Have

• 5+ years of full-stack engineering experience
• AI-native work style. You can speak concretely about how AI tools have changed your output or -pace in the last 6 months
• Production usage of Cursor, Copilot, Claude Code, or comparable, with real opinions on where they help and where they fall short
• Comfort using LLMs beyond code generation: planning, spec-writing, debugging, code review
• Strong TypeScript and React for frontend
• Strong Python for backend
• Familiarity with SQL and Postgres
• Based in or willing to relocate to San Francisco or New York City

Nice-to-Have

• Firebase or Flask experience
• Prior startup experience
• Experience building high-traffic consumer products
• Prior collaboration with AI PMs or ML engineers

WHAT OUR CLIENT IS LOOKING FOR

The strongest candidates have a genuine pull toward early-stage environments. People who want ownership, impact, and the chance to shape a product, not just contribute to one. Startup experience is a strong signal. Big-company backgrounds can work if the motivation to move early-stage is real and clearly demonstrated.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

• $180,000 to $230,000 base (higher band available for Staff-level candidates)
